VICHIKINGCLUB

Description: From the Preiner Gscheid (1020m, border between Lower Austria and Styria) we will hike to Waxriegelhaus and via Göbl Kühn Steig to Neue Seehütte (https://www.neue-seehuette.at/) for lunch. Then we will walk over Preinerwand and Jakobskogel to Ottohaus and the Bergstation to go down by cable car to Hirschwang.

Route: Preiner Gscheid – Waxriegelhaus – Neue Seehütte – Preinerwand – Ottohaus – Bergstation

Meet: At 7:15 a.m. Meidling (U6) near ticket machines. Train departs at 7:23. Please be on time as “Einfach Raus” tickets are possible.

Return: 18:30 Wien Meidling

Cost: Ca. EUR 50 for train, bus, cable car; reduction for members of Alpine Club and ÖAMTC and for senior citizens.

Registration: by 21 July as I have to make reservation of the cable car. Indicate whether you are eligible for a reduced ticket and bring the required ID card.

Note: Hiking boots with good profile necessary! Bring cash, drinks, snacks, rainwear!
