Description: This is a bike ride of about 45 km, flat asphalt surface, moderate cycling pace (15 to 20 km per hour) along the Danube river with a nice view, mostly on a bike path, with limited car traffic.

Route: Reichsbrücke/Donauinsel – Langenzersdorf – Greifenstein – Klosterneuburg – Donaukanal – Schwedenplatz

Map:

Meet: 14:00 at Lighthouse tower (Leuchtturm), located near the Reichsbrücke on the Donauinsel or at 14:15 at the Neue Donau U6 station

Return: At about 18:30 or later depending on time spent in a restaurant

Cost: food/drink consumption if we decide to stop at a restaurant

Registration: latest by Friday, 22 August, 18:00

Note: Dress according to weather; bring something to drink / perhaps a snack; make sure your bicycle is in good condition, with working lights; helmet is recommended;

If you wish to take a train back from Greifenstein to Vienna, please check the schedule, etc. Shade from trees is intermittent
